I don't know where you would find those autographs that cheap. A nice Sam Crawford is in the $300.00+ range and Ed Walsh autographs go for more than that. If you find some in the $100.00-$200.00 range let me know!

I agree with Jeff on this one. I do think that if you are patient, you might be able to get a nice Ed Walsh for $375-$400. I purchased a beautiful signed 3 x 5 in fountain pen in that range perhaps 3 years ago

i understand they are popular players but they passed in the 60's i would think that there autos would be less expensive.

I think Coach's Corner can help you at those prices. For legit examples, you would be very lucky to find either one at the prices you quoted.

If you're stuck on those prices, your best bet might be to find the type of Cut or Index Card that somebody covered with scotch tape. This practice was common a few decades ago, as collectors thought it would preserve the signature. This type looks very ugly to me, as the tape usually turns yellow or brownish, but you can still see the autos underneath.

Unfortunately, that's the type of compromise you'll have to make, in order to get the prices you desire.... unless you somehow get extremely lucky.

NOT my auction and not sure the piece will end at this price, but this is a GREAT deal:
