This came from Argentina after a long, long journey from Buenos Aires to NYC back to Buenos Aires, back to NYC then to Cali. That's nearly 20,000 miles.
It is typical of South American chocolate album sets of the era, printed on thin stock, 2.25" tall 1.5" wide. Photoengraved. Only one I've ever seen. Also picked up this Andre Ward signed RC:

Adam, that Dempsey looks just like the c. 1928 Salem/Josetti/Jasmatzi card issued in Germany.
Makes sense with the large number of German immigrants moving to Argentina during the 1st half of the 20th century. |

Correct; the base artwork for the Salem/Josetti/Jasmatzi/Sulima/Manoli cards was used in at least two SoAm sets, this one and the Chilenas de Tabacos set.

Picked up just my second Ali. Is there a reason mine has that triangle on the back? I've seen some other cards in this set that look like this, and others that have a clean white back.

Got this Jem Smith CDV, can anyone confirm the guy in the background.

It's Jack Harper, Jem Smith's second.

The card is misgraded. The triangle is a stain from album mounting. PSA missed it.

Really? Hmm, I was thinking that might be the answer, but it was such a perfect triangle I thought it was probably something else I wasn't aware of. I've seen others with discoloration on the back, and they often haven't downgraded those cards either because of the stains.
