I'm gonna go ahead and get started on the spreadsheet.....IF ANYONE IS SENDING ANY AUTOGRAPHED CARDS SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE!!

Never mind...I figured it out......they can only be post 1998, and there is no grading of the autograph

Guys....PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE try to make this easy on me. Vague forms with the cards ARE NOT the way to go. Unless it is 1952-1970, I am NOT the expert. T206's with all their variations, and ESPECIALLY the modern stuff where Jeter has 10,383 rookie card take too much work on my part. The plainer you make what you have, the easier everything is. It is also $7 per card PLUS $1.00 per card to cover shipping to and from California. I do not make one copper penny on shipping....it really does cost a quite a bit, especially the shipping back from PSA to me, as the slabs are quite heavy.

Hey Bobby, are 1970/71 Topps Scratch Offs okay?

Edited to add: actually, it's a moot point to me now. My Aaron is a 1970 and not the more desirable 1971. Not going to send it.

Thanks, Bobby. Probably put me down for ~5 or so of the bulks and 1-2 high grade. I'll get my cards out tomorrow.

Oh, another question. I have a card that I think will grade out < $100, but if it hits a grade 10 it's a $600 card. Can I submit this for bulk?

In my experience you are probably alright. I’ve heard in some cases they may come back and charge you for the next level up but I’ve never seen it in any of the group submissions I’ve done.

Bobby will probably know better than me.

You have to be realistic...getting a '10' is NOT realistic...so treat is as a '9' or so...if it DOES come back a '10', I still don't think that is enough money to warrant an upcharge...usually they reserve that for the big boys (think Mantle rookie, Jordan rookie, etc) where a PSA 10 vs a 9 can be an increase of $20k or more.....

You'll be fine. I've had $1000+ (Post grade) cards go through bulk with no issue.

While we are talking about this, I have cards in BGS 9.5 holders I want to crack out swap over to PSA. They range in eBay value from 600-900, but if they do grade 10 probably increase a couple hundred each. Is that close enough to get in the under $500 category with PSA? Thanks for any knowledge.

Probably, especially if they're worth significantly less than that raw. I won't say it's 100%, but twice I've had submissions under the bulk rate (less than $100) that came back as high grade low pops worth around $1000 each and didn't get asked to pay extra. Based on that, it isn't at all strict, and as Bobby mentioned, it's more for the big boys. People spend way too much time worrying about the valuation levels. It's almost entirely for insurance purposes.

Did you read the thread where the member bumped him Jim Brown rookie from an '8' to an '8.5'? They asked him to pay extra. Think of it like this....if they ask you to pay extra, it's akin to you winning the lottery. Gladly pay the extra. The cards you are describing though, I think you are OK.

I have nothing to be impatient about! This whole process so far has been super easy. From me reading this thread to you having cards in hand was just a few days. I'm glad I found this thread when I did. I've been meaning to submit cards for months now, but just haven't gotten off my behind to do it. This thread lit the fire, and I even got to throw in some cards for fun since the bulk price is so low

Thanks again, Bobby. Your efforts are appreciated! With the wide range of cards in this sub, im guessing we're looking at 6 months.

I think this sub will pop before the World Series ends, but I’m not putting any money on it. I think it will pop after the Marlins are mathematically eliminated and I would consider a wager if somebody thinks it will pop sooner.

I would imagine that one of the perks of organizing these subs is handling the wide variety of cards that we send you. I remember looking at the list when the October sub popped wondering what some of those cards were. Certainly far off my radar but I think it’s great to see what other people are passionate about. I’ve sent a couple this month you’ve probably never handled. Enjoy and thanks again for pulling this together. I’m already thinking about what I can send in next time.

Brian,

I'll take the Marlins pre/post bet. The cards will post on the PSA website prior to the Marlins being eliminated from post season. I'll wager a stack of 25 uninspiring Sportcaster cards against anything you feel is fair.

Default To be clear

I’m not saying PSA will log them in. I’m saying grades won’t pop until after the Marlins are eliminated. And I’m talking about the bulk portion of this submission. Not the premium sub.

Still want that bet?

Yes - the grades must post for the bulk! We are on the same page - I'm still in.

Default Ok

I’m in. I’ll find something equally uninspiring to offer in exchange. Not that it will matter. Marlins will be sunk by Sept 1 and these grades will not pop by then. But it will make watching the marlins tank more interesting.

FWIW, Marlins magic number is 139

Thanks a whole lot for doing all the work on this. I, and I am sure the others, certainly appreciate all your effort.

As a courtesy to the submitters, I will put a "purple star" on cards that I believe look better than the assigned grade. There is no extra charge for this service. Those cards should get a premium when you sell them on Ebay due to the purple star I assigned to them. You're welcome.

We all have an opinion and mine is the purple star is no sillier that the PSA holder you would be putting it on.

I feel worse about how long it will take to get these cards graded. But better about my small wager.
