Default My Daughter with George (as she said), President G.W. Bush - Yesterday

Not a great selfie but I am not sure the Secret Service would approve of much more. She was excited to meet him and the others at the Leadership Forum they attended.

Amazing since GWB is in mourning right now and might prefer some privacy.

In a perfect world probably.
But if you had seen the interview I did, yesterday morning, you would know how the Bush's feel. They feel they are carrying on exactly the way Barbara would have wanted. That is the way they are memorializing her. You could really tell how much he loved and admired his mom. I think they are doing it for her at this moment.
They are at a Leadership forum in Dallas and are guest speakers along with Ben Bernanke, Henry Paulson, Condoleezza Rice, Jeff Bezos, Bono (a new friend of George's) and a host of others.

Barbara had an amazing life- imagine being married to a president and having a son who is a president, and being married for 73 years to the same man. That is a singularly unique life.

I loved her speech at Wellesley, she says something to the effect that someone in this audience may one day be the spouse of a president and live in the White House just like me. She pauses, then says, "And I wish him well."

On a semi-related note... W's Presidential library is well worth a visit if you're in the Metroplex. Very interactive and informative. You don't need to have been a political supporter of his to appreciate it.

I'll need to get back up there for a tour. Our last visit was during Christmas season a year or two ago and the display of White House trees and decorations was fantastic.

So your daughter is a Pony. We are Houston Cougars...conference rivals.

2013 Morgan Stanley Conference at the Ritz, Key Biscayne. Was really nice; shot from the hip yet always the polished frat boy...

Hi Paul,

That's really funny. Backstory to that is that I didnt bring any suits with me because the event I went to was business casual. The photo op was business attire. So I had limited options and low and behold I found a BR outlet of all places...

I think the wrinkled shirt was more egregious than the suit, but no one noticed....
