Default Show me your Polar Bears

One of my favorite backs in the t206 set are polar bears, I love the contrast when you see that dark back in a pile.
There are a few questions I have regarding them, overall rarity? I feel as if they are the third most common "brand" but they don't come across nearly as often and they don't seem to command any slight premium over piedmont or sweet caporal.
2. Missing frame lines, how rare is this printing error?
3. I notice some have a much richer blue.. is this simply related to plate saturation? I'm sure a few board members have full sets of PB's or are working on one, so please. Show me some of your favorite polar bears.

Default Easy to locate

Easy to locate in lower grades but they are very tough to find in high grade especially Psa 6 or better.

Sold this Speaker card about a year ago. Was actually one of my favorite
T206 cards. The Cobb I also sold off some time ago as well.

This could become my all-time favorite thread!

You don't see many Polar Bear backs missing frame lines, but there doesn't seem to be much interest in them either.

As for your other question about the back color, it could possibly have been caused when the ink was mixed. Different batches of ink in slightly different colors. I used to mix paint years ago and even just one drop of toner could throw off the final color of a gallon of paint.

Like some of the other T206 backs, some players are hard to find with a Polar Bear back while others seem more common.

Here are two from my collection along with a trade card.

Love these cards, guys. I only have two or maybe three of the PB backs myself. Keep them coming!

Default Favorite PB

My favorite PB is Bradley missing the "IE" in "SERIES". Out of the 3 known subjects (i.e. Bergen, Bradley and Doolan) with this error the Bradley is the most difficult with only 3 confirmed examples:

You see them fairly often with certain subjects.

This is a less common Polar bear flaw, I've only seen a couple of these
on two different subjects.

Here is another example that has the misprinted curlicues at the top corners, and the upper border line too.
