McCovey played there in 1957. Red Murff won 27 games for Dallas in 1955 and played in 14 games for the Braves in 1956 as a 35-year old rookie. He played 12 more for them in 1957. Ed Knoblauch played there in 1955. He was a Texas League legend and the uncle of Chuck Knoblauch.

The 1955 Dallas Eagles won the Texas League regular season with a 93-67 record. They finished with a one game lead over San Antonio then lost in the first round of the TL playoffs. Beside Knoblauch & Murff ( who is best known as the scout that signed Nolan Ryan) other players on the team that played in the big leagues included Pete Burnside, Ozzie Virgil, Ray Murray and Bill White.
