Just finished reading "Three Finger: The Mordecai Brown Story"... what a great book! Even though I usually focus on the Highlanders and Giants, this was one of my favorite books ever about the Dead Ball Era.

Secondly, Mitchell & Ness recently put their 1908 Cubs jersey on sale.

If you need a password to view the jersey, the password is ALLACCESS

Enjoy!

PS.. Leon, my apologies if you think this is off-topic. I enjoy the books and jerseys from the time period as much as the cards. Feel free to delete.

Isn't Mordecai Peter Centennial "Three Finger" Brown the greatest baseball name ever?

I would have named my kid that if my wife had let me.

Nice stuff... Now, here's one that might be tougher. What job did Rube Waddell have during baseball's offseason?

Not sure. I know he liked to chase firetrucks. I'd be cheating if I answered this one because I'd have to look it up.
