Are you going to start a new topic every time you get an article published, in addition to the new topic you start every time you write a new blog? Just curious.

Please don't. If you want to have one rolling topic to update each time you do something new, more power to you. Beyond that is really overkill.

One thread every two weeks isn't hurting anything. As to the topic, I went through my LCS's boxes on Friday hunting for Vizquels/other PC guys and found the Vizquel Upper Deck 40Man /40. Couldn't find a record of the card anywhere else (not graded by PSA, BGS, not on Worthpoint). It's up on eBay right now at $1999 OBO since it didn't get any bites at $3499 in five days. Maybe the price cut will spur an offer.

Also got a Frank Thomas 1994 Donruss Gold Leaf Stars (/10000 for $6) and a 1964 Curtis Flood (one of the original hoarded cards) for $3.

It's not just one thread every two weeks, more like two or three topics a week.

Compare the topic Why I Make Custom Cards here to his blog post Why I Make Custom Cards. Look at any of his topics here, and look at his blog. It's the exact same thing. All he does is spam his blog. It's not enough to have his blog linked in his signature, or to tell people "hey, I have a blog, would you guys check it out please?" Every time he writes a new blog, there's a new topic. And these really have nothing to do with sports talk.

This is a habit with him. You have to be logged in to see the topics on the other boards, but they're identical to the ones found here.

He does the same thing on Sports Card Forum.

And, he does the same thing on Blowout Cards.

And, he does the same thing on Freedom Cardboard.

And. he does the same thing on Collectors Universe.

And, he does the same thing on Beckett.com.

Couldn't you just bookmark his blog? Do we really need to have a new topic every time he has a thought? Or, couldn't he have one running topic with all his blog posts? The board doesn't need to be flooded.

Sorry brother - you are out of luck here. I am going to keep posting. In the future, if you have an issue with what I'm doing, a PM would be much more appreciated (flies/honey/vinegar and all that). My suggestion would be that if you have an issue with my frequency of posting, then to simply not click on my threads ... problem solved!

After looking at the off-topic board here, I see that I do have several links on the front page here, so apparently this category doesn't move as quickly as the others, so it does look like I post a LOT more here than compared to other places I post.

If the admins have an issue with this, then again, to any admins out there: if the Net54 audience doesn't find my content valuable, please feel free to PM me and I will gladly cut back/stop posting altogether. I post because I get the feeling folks enjoy reading what I write, and I enjoy hearing about their positive feedback.

Holy cow! I can't believe you actually pulled something like that. It still blows my mind that Vizquel/Galarraga are such huge deals. If it ends up going for $2k, that would almost be like pulling a higher grade Nolan Ryan rookie. My, what a marvel the times we live in are.

I recall hearing about the Flood being hoarded. Do you have any idea what you can expect to get out of it? As a child, I always had this "what if?" scenario if someone hoarded all 87 Topps Bo Jackson rookies, and burned most/all of them ... what would happen to the market for them. Little did I know that you could probably collect every single one you came across in your entire life, and there would still be 3.5 million of them out there left LOL!

So, keep posting. Can't you keep one running thread, and update it when you write something new? You can change the topic title as you wish. You achieve the same objective; the readers here that want to read your content get to see it, and the board isn't overrun.

It's called forum etiquette. Can you meet me halfway?

Bill, I'm not sure what would prompt you to spend so much time and effort to call me out on one of my own threads here, but obviously this is bugging the heck out of you.

Yes, I post a lot ... on a lot of websites .... the same content. I also have a few others I post on that you missed as well, such as The Bench and Cardboard Connection.

While you are checking my other threads, please read the responses. Do you get the sense that people are glad I posted, or that they are irritated? I personally get the sense that they like reading. Each site tends to have a different audience, so I post everywhere. If I got the sense that no one liked it, I would stop.

"Spamming" my blog is not my intention. I post because I like to write and I enjoy the positive feedback.

Forum etiquette calls for us to treat each other respectfully/politely and to settle differences in private. I feel that I have been respectful and polite with you here - All I ask is that you return the favor.

I see it like this: I read the PSA/CU board, Blowout, and this one. I don't have a problem with him cross-posting. There are partially overlapping memberships on the Venn Diagram for all these sites, and many people are exclusive to a single site. It's rare people will see more than two of the same one.
I have messaged Tanner about items and sent him some Cansecos before, just because I appreciate his passion for the game and cards. If he posted and then ignored all the comments, I could agree with you labeling him a scammer. But if he can keeps up with comments on eight message boards, he has too much free time, however he should be able to as long as the moderators don't have a problem with it. The general feedback I see on his articles is highly favorable.

And "scammer" was a mistype of "spammer"; I don't think anyone considers him a scammer, unless it's April Fool's Day.

No, I see nothing to indicate he's dishonest. And, like I said, I have no problem at all with him posting what he wants to say here. Mouschi is damned talented, I wouldn't deny that. And, I'm not looking to abridge his creativity, or his right to say whatever he wants within the (few) rules of the forum. It's the sheer number of topics that bother me. People that enjoy his work, by now, know he has a blog. How much effort does it take to go to the blog, bookmark that page, and when you open a browser window, click the favorite, and read? Beyond that, if he wants to continue posting what he says here, that's absolutely fine, too. One running topic devoted to his musings is enough, though, isn't it?
