Eric,
That's awesome! Random thought: What the hell do you do with the Denny McLain underwear anyway? There is no way you would ever display that bad boy, shizzstains and all... To be honest, if you hadn't told me that that picture was Denny McLain, I never would have guessed. What a change in his appearance! The last time I saw him was at a paid signing five years ago. Denny was sweating profusely just sitting there, and it wasn't even hot. I remember thinking at the time that his health was in such a bad place that he likely wouldn't live much longer. It's good that he has taken a positive step in turning his weight issue around. I wonder if he still guzzles pop by the gallon? Last edited by Scott Garner; 02-23-2014 at 03:30 AM. |

Well, it will be hard to outdo the Denny McLain tighty whities...
Somewhat baseball related... happy to add this Jimmy Stewart signed ball to my collection. Also Richard Dreyfus signed Jaws pose.

Seller claims early 1990s, which matches signature style and Bobby Brown ball. So Stewart would have been about 80.
I typically take seller claims with a grain of salt, but all of his offerings -- which included a number of baseball player and entertainment celebrity signed baseballs -- looked legit, so I would take him at his word.

Bought a 1939 Bisons team-signed ball, not really sure why, but was very happy to find out it contained an auto of Hank Nowak. Nowak never made the majors, he was killed in the Battle of the Bulge in 1945.
Also on the ball is Jim Oglesby, who committed suicide in 1950. Ken |
