Default Need help identifying these

I just picked up about 80 or so different cards like the ones pictured below. They appear to be from 1956. The backs are blank. Can anyone help me identify these? A lot of odd players in the group I have, and not too many stars, but I have no clue if the set is near complete, or even legit. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not cards-yearbook or program photos/clips represented as cards.

I was leaning in that direction, except that the cards are all exactly identical in format, and are actual layered cards -- not pasted or glued to the backing. Plus all of the teams are represented. It would have been a ridiculously long undertaking to self-design them.
