These post-modern autographs are getting tougher and tougher to decipher.

The first one is Yadel Martie who was a pitcher for Cuba in the 2006 World Baseball Classic. Defected from Cuba in 2008. In 2010 he signed a minor league contract with the Oakland A's and went to spring training as a non-roster invitee. In 2011 he played in the minor leagues for the Stockton Ports, Midland RockHounds and the Sacramento River Cats.

I'm curious, do you buy large lots of signed baseballs? You seem to have a tremendous amount of mystery balls and I have to assume you didn't get them yourself.

You kind of have to wonder what will become of the autograph collecting hobby in the future. It is getting impossible to read just about anyone's signatures and aside from the fact that you own that "special" signature, they are essentially becoming crude, illegible scribbles that have no aesthetic appeal. Will we, as consumers, continue to covet signatures in masses, even if they just look like someone trying to get a ballpoint pen working again after the ink dried up?
