Default Fake 1952 Topps Willie Mays on eBay?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/302730192765?ul_noapp=true

Idk but this card looks pretty bad to me. The same seller also has a Clemente for sale.

That does look bad. The corners look cut to be rounded instead of naturally worn. The edges of the slab are very frosty too.

Wow, not even a good reprint. As fake as a $3 bill.

Nice work swarmee! That is the card that makes the psa serial number . I wonder if the 1955 Clemente also has a real example out there? I think the actual flip on this card looks fake to.

The last time it sold was March of this year. The seller back then admitted to it being a fake card in a PSA slab (talking about the Clemente). Here is the link.

Here is the real Clemente PSA 3 that sold in January thru Small Traditions auction house for over $700. Notice how different the real card looks to the reprint that people are trying to con people with.

Bobby, idk how you found out so much info about the card but way to go! So this guy is just fishing waiting for someone to trust in the SLAB! This is the problem with most novice collectors. I mean you should be able to just say hey it’s graded by PSA it’s got to be the real deal.
Maybe psa could come out with a tempered case. So that if it’s opened even a little it gets cracks all over it.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that these frosted slabs are being displayed on light/grayish backgrounds. Even looks like the fake Clemente and ebay Mays have the same background.

Before I joined this site I would have thought that if it were in a slabbed case it would be good to go.

I think my wife feels bad when I open presents and its eBay gift cards. I know she'd love to buy me actual cards instead of buying me gift cards but you just can't do that in this hobby. I have been reading and reading on here and I still am learning new stuff every day. I am sure I know about 0.1% of everything I need to know. This stuff blows my mind.

I sent the seller a message through eBay letting him know that the auctions had been reported to eBay and sent links to the correct listings. Below is his response. As of now, the auctions are still running.

"Well thanks for letting me know I should of said someone before reporting I just bought the cards myself being graded by psa I asummed they were legit"

So he just bought the cards then opened up a EBay account to sell them?

I just sent an email to a contact I have at Ebay that is really good at quickly removing these scammers. Hopefully this will get shut down within 24 hours.

The Mays listing is gone but the Clemente is still there. Time to work on getting it removed too.
