this guy wants us to explain how it is this card is not original: can we give him some things to note for the future please. He says a 'reputable" dealer has been selling such things:

Based on "discussions" I've had with sellers of fake cards (old reprints), I'm sure that these people read the board postings and it probably helps these "evil doers" (thanks Prez) with their trade. Liars and cheats aren't going to be affected at all by our preaching. "Oh, now I understand...I'll go back to making moonshine instead". I'm not implying that everyone in Kentucky is this way, but I have my stereotypes, just like Plastic Dawg does for Texans (we ain't actually two stupid)

The borders on fakes always look slightly oversized all the way around, especially on tobacco cards. The borders and edges also tend to maintain there shape and crispness even when the card has been stained or roughed up to look old. The back also looks a little fishy, as usual a portion of the printed part looks rubbed out, which is almost always a bad sign.
just a few thoughts... thanks brian

The wide borders and the spot of back damage on the back which is EXACTLY where a little mark is that give these reprints away. This mark is on ALL of the E90-1 reprints.

You know how tobacco reprints have the little line at the bottom saying "reprint" and that is exactly where surface damage seems to happen - well, this is the E-cards equivalent.

I post as many complaints about cheats as anyone. Part of my msg was clipped out - it would have made more sense. It wasn't intended as a knock on your posting, but in re-reading I can see how it would have been seen that way. Sorry about that

Elliott deleted my first sentence along with the "Anonymous" post response above. It was a direct response to "Anonymous" and in support of the original post. The rest of the post was really meant to be a sarcastic shot at "Anonymous", but without the first sentence it looked like I was ripping the original poster, which most definitely not intended.

Sorry about that!
