For the scant few collectors familiar with these pieces, please reach out if you know of any that might be around.

Also need ANY of the four "Fan for a Fans", but have all but written off that possibility (can't compete with Bob )

There is a particular cabinet photo of the Nebraska Indians baseball team camping out. I have seen three examples of this in ten years and have been outbid each time. The last one I saw has been at least five years ago though. Hoping someday to snag that one.

Interesting question. Either of these would be a White Whale, but I'm not holding my breath.

My "White Whale" would have to be any one of these three items:

* Ticket to Bobo Holloman's no-hitter on 5/6/53 @ STL Browns
* Scored program to Johnny Vander Meer's 1st no-hitter on 6/11/38 @ CINCI
* Vintage signed snapshot of James "Hippo" Vaughan

Sorry, one item only is a tough choice.

I'm still in the market for a signed 1953 Topps Satchel Paige. I've always wanted a Paige signature but with the caveat it's on a baseball card.

I don't have much if any focus to my collection, I have a bit of focus with other hobbies but not with mainstream sports stuff. So not anything specific that's "missing " other than anything I don't have already.

That being said, I like weird stuff. And there's one thing I'd want and could have made myself but never got around to it. I doubt it exists.

At some point before the Red Sox got new owners there was a bit of rather off color graffiti about Stan Papi on the outside wall on Lansdowne St - Past the bleacher gate so on the Gillians end of the wall.

I'd like to find a picture of that. I'm not even sure why, other than it was very uncomplimentary, and the team left it there uncovered for YEARS. it lasted longer than he did.

I collect pre-1945 scorecards from semi-pro and minor league teams, the more obscure the better. This Flatbush Greys scorecard has eluded me for years. I always liked the illustration. It ain't worth anything, and it comes around every now and then, but for some reason I always miss it!

Someday...

Kinda my white whale would finish off my 61 in 61 run but the damn thing gets expensive and is just so UGLY! Big head on a small body for poor Roger. I have had the chance several times but just couldnt bring myself to buy it!

I need more than one so here are a couple. The Topeka cabinet is in both horizontal or vertical. I'll settle for either.

My white whale isn't too exotic, an Ebbets Field seat. I know there are some out there, so finding one isn't hard, it's at what price that's difficult.

As far as cards:

'61 Dice Game - Brooks Robinson
'68 3D - Brooks
'67 and '68 Topps Disc. - Brooks

If anyone has any of the above I can possibly afford the last one listed...

Memorabilia:

Orioles mini nodder - either version

Of course there are others, but only listed a few.

My White Whale would be this cigar box. Not only does it feature one of the great Chicago Cubs pitchers of all time, they were made in Terre Haute, Indiana where I was born and raised. To add to this story, when I was very young, an elderly couple lived across the street from my family. The man would always sit on his front porch and watch us play baseball in the yard. One day he called me over and told me he used to work at a gas station in Terre Haute that was owned by Three Finger Brown. I didn't know who that was at the time, but of course later learned all about him. I also was able to acquire photos of the service station.

Jay, I only have the Christy Mathewson and Chase, I would love to own the Cobb, Baker and Doyle. I have attached my Matty below.

The Baker is extremely rare (more than the Cobb I believe)

Thanks Mike, but I only know of one that exists. Halper had it, then whoever bought it from that auction, sold it several years later at REA. But you never know!

I've got the run of Army Navy tickets from 1899-present, EXCEPT 1919. Been looking for years and have never seen, or heard, of one popping up. I know it will one day.
