Frank 'Wildfire' Schulte
When I threw in the towel attempting the Monster (among various other sets,) I came to the realization I am not a set collector, but a player collector. The one card I kept was Schulte's front view variation. Not only do I find the card to be visually stunning, I believe he is one of the more underrated players from the Deadball Era.
Although not pre-WWII, I also have player collections of Ellis Burks (my primary collection) and Shawn Thornton (Boston Bruins.) |
