although there are some fantastic pieces displayed, and the noverlty of seeing them un-slabbed (what a breath of fresh air!)_ is great--it's also true that the people who put the catalogue together CROPPED the pictures, to make the edges of the cards appear neater. So it's difficult to get the true condition of a card from this cataslogue. |

Search under Halper on ebay and you will probably find a Halper Collection Auction catalog (1997) at a reasonable price. |

I agree, if someone were to buy only one old auction catalog, the Sothebys - Halper catalog is the one to have. |
