Default Rocky Marciano

Rocky Marciano died in a plane crash on August 31, 1969. My blog includes a YouTube highlights video, which really shows his powerful punching ability.

Very cool ! My inlaws almost bought the house Rocky grew up in during the late 70's but ended up just down the street. When they looked at the house the basement was full of trophys, banners, medals, all types of different stuff. They asked the agent what was going to happen to it and they were told it came with the house ! The sad part is whoever bought the house probably threw it all out. I have met many of Rocky's friends from his childhood and they all say he had a punch that could crack a brick wall and would love to see him and Tyson fight as they had the hardest puches ever, and of course they would put money on the Rock. All the Brockton residents always put money on Rocky to win and made good side money on him over the years as he never lost.

A 1954 Herb Scharfman photo of Marciano V Charles I once owned. Marciano has the killer look.

Although it is about the size of a postage stamp, this card has become one of my favorites; Marciano's 1-punch KO of Walcott.

April 26th the Post Office renamed the Brockton mass PO to the Rocky Maciano PO. They sold these first day covers at the ceremony.
