Anyone ever see the show "Hoarders"? It is sad and fascinating at the same time.

My wife loves this show. I usually just leave the room, especially if I have just eaten.

Default Wow

I can't believe I am the first to say 2.5 Men.

Also, Pawn Stars, Rescue Me, Top Chef, Deadliest Catch, Big Bang Theory, Mike and Molly, Storage Wars...I am sure I am missing a bunch more.

1)Boardwalk Empire
2)Mad Men

The only show I actually set aside some free time to watch is Sons of Anarchy. The season finale this year was amazing. Apart from SoA, if the Red Sox or Bruins aren't playing, the MLB Network is almost always on.

Current shows (whenever sports aren't on!)

Can't believe no one has mentioned Dexter--my current favorite!
Boardwalk Empire
American Pickers
Pawn Stars--altho it's getting a bit repetitive in its format
Late night History Channel

All-Time Favs:

Sopranos
All in the Family
I Love Lucy
Colgate Comedy Hour
Texaco Star Theater-Milton Berle
Rich Man Poor Man miniseries

Default Duck Man!

A little too hip for the mainstream, but many episodes are on youtube so maybe one day the mainstream will catch up.......nah, who am I kidding.

Well I liked Boadwalk Empire, but I don't think it's anywhere near the greatest of all time...but you're right I definitely forgot to add Mad Men which is one of my favorites.

Breaking Bad is another great show that I forgot to mention...I also really like Modern Family, but it's one I came in late on and had to buy the first season on DVD to get up to speed.

Oh man- some of those episodes are....uh...disturbing. When I saw the commercial for the one with the guy with all the rats/mice I told myself "no thanks"

Did anyone like the old "Ren & Stimpy" cartoons? Very tweaked......

You guys are coming up with some good ones.......Sons of Anarchy- forgot about that one- that's pretty cool. American Pickers,,,I'd actually love to do that for work. Someday they may stumble across a pre-war goldmine

"Intervention" is pretty shocking.......it really shows how drugs can destroy your life, ruin relationships, and bring your family to the brink of insanity (pretty depressing, but most of the time in the end the addict ends up getting off the drugs/ happy ending).

I seem to gravitate to the HBO shows. My favorites over the years, most of which are in some form of syndication, are:

The Larry Sanders Show
The Sopranos
Sex and the City (I know it's a chick show but it was actually very well written)
Curb Your Enthusiasm (among my all time favorites)
Bored to Death

But of all the HBO shows, my unqualified favorite: Six Feet Under

And of course I love Seinfeld and The Simpsons

And I watched all of Boardwalk Empire- I thought it was very good but didn't quite qualify as a favorite

I don't watch much current TV. Among my favorite fare (now reduced to warching the boxed set), the Inspector Morse series from the BBC starring John Thaw.

I have never been into very much that is fiction...so all of the reality shows are my thing. I love watching the Mecum car auctions, Hoarders, Pawn Stars.....Deadliest Catch.....Dancing with the Stars (NOT!!), .....most of the reality ones are cool...and if nothing else I find that channel that runs 24 x 7 COPS.......how can you go wrong with seeing idiots get busted?

Default speaking of idiots

For fans of The Ricky Gervais Show, check out "An Idiot Abroad" on the Science Channel. Karl Pilkington travels to the 7 Wonders of the World. He is either the dumbest person on the planet, or brilliant. Is only 8 episodes long but just announced a second series.

I didn't even know this show existed until your post. Saw it on the guide last night and started recording the episodes.

Pilkington is hilarious. Best part about him, is he has no idea how funny he really is..........on top of the fact he doesn't react at all, negatively OR positively when he's being made fun of.

He may be the best comedy straight man in history. He might also be a touch sociopathic.
