You can tell just by looking at that one. Try to find a real signed ball in an auction catalog or online somewhere O'Seedy and you will see how easy it is to tell.

I have a team-signed Dodger ball from a few years after that. I'll try and find it. Now I'M worried. If memory serves mine was in blue ink. Seemed real to me when I got it at Chavez Ravine back in the '60's, but it's been so long since I've looked at it.

Paul - you say you "got" the ball at Chavez Ravine. If you mean you bought it at Chavez, then it is a printed/stamped ball.

Richard - Just found the ball. Yup, it's just as you say. I probably shouldn't have said I was "worried" about it. It was just in the back of my mind that I had it. No harm. I won't bother to post an image. It has the same sigs as shown in O'Seedy's ball, albeit in different areas. Can tell right (write?) away it's stamped/machined.

What I also came across is an Official Midwest League ball. It was given to me by a friend of my father's whose newphew is Rene Lacheman, with his sig on the ball. It's not as obvious to me if this is machined or not, as the sigs are a little sloppier and seemed placed more at random, although it's all the same color ink, etc. Robbie Robertson signed it too -- I guess he enjoyed a game now and then when he wasn't playing guitar in The Band!
