Where? Since my focus is pre-war I don't have anything Mets related, but I wouldn't mind seeing stuff from others.

I did a blog today on the history of Mets rings and took this photo over the weekend. Sorry about my website in the picture, I'm tired of people lifting my photos!

Shea Stadium Dedication presented to Zach Wheat from the Mets. I am a big Royals fan who lives near KC. Should be a fun series. Lets Go Royals.

Default Amazin' Mets

Here are a few of my favorite Mets era Nolan Ryan items in my personal collection. The original 1969 Amazing Mets poster was from an antique store find in upstate NY about 20 years ago when I was on a business trip.

The full, unused September 11th, 1966 Mets ticket is from HOF'er Nolan Ryan's debut game. The full white and red 1969 Cubs ticket in the bottom left foreground in the Mets showcase is from the Mets 100th and final win in their historic 1st World Series season.

Amazin!

Default Mets

Scott,

Even though I'm not a Mets fan (still upset about the Miracle) I "really" like that display; just awesome!

I loathe the Mets; it was not possible to like both the Yankees and the Mets when I was a kid, so I chose sides. But I do like those team issues:

Scored program from 73rd Mets game of the their existence.

Koufax strikes out 13, walks 5, no hits for the win.

Scored programs from Nolan Ryan first career start (a loss Sept 18, 1966) and first career win (April 14, 1968).

Strangely, even though they were separated by nearly 19 months they were consecutive games played for Nolan and they were both in Houston Astrodome.

Scored programs from first home run as a Met for Willie Mays (June 9, 1973, #655 of his career) and Willie's last professional hit, rbi & run (all in the 12th inning of World Series game 3 on Oct 14, 1873).

Let's go Mets in game 5!

Rocking chair inscribed to Charlie Gehringer from 1969.

Transogram box, 60s straw hat, and Tom Terrific game used bat.
