Default Yankees Stadium Subway stop light?

Hey guys,

Wanted to pick your brains on a recent piece I picked up. It is a subway/train switch light, that has the glass lens on front reading New York Yankees. The sign definitely shows some age, is made of glass and cast aluminum, and is made by the LFE company. I swear I saw a similar sign posted somewhere on net54 in the past, but for the life of me, I can't find it on any search. There is a similar sign on an online antique shop for sale, made by the same company with a slightly different design, that they list as a Yankees stadium subway stop light. At some point in the recent past, the light was wired to a modern electric plug, and it works perfectly. Has anyone seen these lights/signs before? Were they used in or around Yankees Stadium or at the stadium train stop? Any opinions or thoughts would be most appreciated.

thanks - Here are photos,
KJ

The light itself is vintage, the Yankees decal on the front is not. There are Brooklyn ones out there too, one was in a recent auction, although I don't remember which one off of the top of my head.

I see these in just about every large antique shop in the tri-state area. They have cut decals of all sorts of things that they paste onto the lights. The baseball decals help them sell more lights. I have always thought the lights were also of recent vintage, which is why they plug right into the wall.

Default light

Thanks for the info guys.
This one doesn't have a decal pasted or attached to the front, the glass has the Yankees type embedded/cut into it, but I can see it definitely being possible that the glass shade being a newer piece inserted into the vintage light.
