Ok
I know some people dont like to do these, but i thought it would be fun because of the big 3 auctions coming up. I know mastro's aint up yet but if you could buy 1 item from the REA,Mastro and also SCP auctions from this month. What item would it be. For me it would have to be the Lou gehrig 1933 Road jersey. I was surprised when i seen three of his bats going for sale in the same month and now a game used jersey by him, oh dont i wish i was rich.

I ain't gonna get it, but being a game collector, I've always wanted the McLoughlin Bros Zimmer's Base Ball Game. REA's got one coming, the example that surfaced on this board a few months ago. It's in fabulous shape and out of my league. Interestingly, ANOTHER EXAMPLE HAS SURFACED, found in an historic house in Missouri. The finder ( a volunteer) posted pictures (since removed) on the wonderfully-niche-y Yahoo Baseball Games forum...and a few days after FOUND THE BOX LID for the game in another room of the 26-room mansion. THIS EXAMPLE would probably set a record if they choose to sell...hell, they could put a new roof on the sucker!!

I would not turn away the Cap Anson / Buck Ewing Burke Ale Poster in the REA Auction (Lot #1). In fact, I cannot even believe that it's real, it is so magnificent.

Regarding something I might conceivably be able to afford, the Mordecai Brown signed photo would nicely fill a lifelong void. Seems like all you ever see from him are signed Business Cards, Cuts and Index Cards.

BTW.... neat post (but also rather depressing)

Could think of a million things, but would love to pick up the old Waner brothers board game (forget the name) someday. Seen it in a couple auctions, but nothing I could afford at the time.
