Default OT: Top This.

A guy at work knows I collect cards and came up to me last week and said his brother-in-law is needing money and had a Clemente Auto he was needing to sell and was wondering if I was interested. I said sure if the price was right. So after negoitating with him thru the guy at work for a week we decided that I would pay to send it off to get it authenticated and if it checked out I would give the guy another $75. Well he brought the card into work today and the Auto is on a 1987 Topps Clemente Turn Back the Clock. Needless to say I did some on the spot authenticating myself.

I know a former shop owner who had someone come in with a newspaper that had an article about Mantle's death that was signed by Mantle.

I seem to recall discussion either on this board or it's predecessor of a Bart Giamatti signed Selig baseball offered on eBay ...

Technically they never found a body. Maybe Roberto is alive on an island some where

That would also explain why Coaches Corner has so many Clemente autographs....along with Marilyn, JFK and James Dean. Sure hope that Island is fairly large.

Just when I think "The Office" is populated with impossibly stupid imbeciles, something like this comes along and makes me think it's reality T.V.

Well if the BIL is throwing away his money on stuff like this, then it would certainly explain his needing money!
