Default Surprise Giveaway Jim Thorpe Sports Card Show and Auction 1 week to go!

OK so we're down to the last week before the show. First 20 guys who post to this thread who plan on coming to the show will receive a surprise at the door!

For those of you who have somehow missed the details:

Saturday November 12, 10am - 4pm Split Rock Resort Lake Harmony, PA.

Autograph guests:

Al Oliver
Ron Greschner
Nick Fotiu

Live auction at 2:30 cards from Tobacco and Caramel - 2000

We do still have I think 4 booths left if there's any last minute interest. Booths are 10 x 10 and we provide two 8 foot tables. Every booth is a corner!

Booths are $100 with a 10% discount for Net 54 members it's $90.

Pretty much all the details are available at:

http://www.jimthorpesportscardshow.com

Any questions post 'em here!

Default I am setting up

Bringing mostly cheap material to feel out the show. I know a number of the other dealers and it should be a good show.

Default Autumn Leaves Trip..

If the weather is anything like today's , I'll be a bit late.....the opportunities for taking pictures in that part of Eastern/Central Pennsylvania at this time of year are numerous..I love the old ''coal regions'' small towns and diners...

..see ya there..

Default I will also be setting up

I will be at booth #33. I will have a showcase of PSA graded cards, a showcase of ungraded cards, a few showcases of misc. with autographs, some nice nonsport unopened boxes and cheap unopened junk boxes. I will also have a star box alphabetically with prices of $2.00 and up, along with a $1.00 box and several 25 cent shoeboxes. The show should be a lot of fun and I am looking forward to it. Hope to see a lot of you there!
Robert

I'll have my usual - mainly vintage. A decent amount of Tobacco cards through the 70's. I am weak in the 60's right now. May bring some non card stuff too.

I know it was kicked around a little... Any word on if SGC will make an appearance to collect submissions?

Unfortunately both SGC and PSA, while interested, couldn't make the date work. I know that's a bummer and they both promised "Next Year" but that doesn't help me out right now. Seriously though, thanks for asking, at least I know people are paying attention!

The camaraderie is always one of the great things about shows. I hope everyone has fun. I will be setting up locally at Rich's show in a few days and know it will be fun as always.

I've been following all your hard work with this show for a while now. Forgoing the White Plains show on Thanksgiving weekend to saddle up the car in Ocean County, NJ and head to PA this Saturday. Looking forward to it. Any dealers reading this?? - bring some Pinson cards!! Will I be able to get a hot dog and diet coke at the show when it's time to take a blow?

It's a full service resort so there are several restaurants, but we will also have concessions set up inside the show itself! Thanks, and congrats, Make sure you give your name at the door!

Where in Ocean County? My Grandmother lived in Brick and we vacationed at Pt Pleasant and Seaside Heights almost every year.

Default Jim Thorpe Sports Card Show and Auction

I will be set up there, and have a bit of 19th century - turn of century vintage, albeit quite a bit less than I normally would bring, and (relatively) more on the mainstream for such vintage and less on the eclectic. Similar to what Glyn indicated, I will bring a bit of cheaper stuff as well. I will also bring some non sports material.

If anyone has any specific requests, please let me know in advance and I will try to bring for your consideration some additional stuff more suitable for your taste.
