Yeah, and was hoping for some obscure issues with hard to judge value to take a flyer on.

This is a really fun thread! I'm one of those folks who has never spent $500 on a single card, but there are definitely cards I'd do that for. So I'm watching this thread with interest...

I could start a $1000 thread if Leon approved--might be fun as people more tempted to pick up fast grand by offering card at a bargain rate of one-of-a-kind whose value is hard to judge....

I am cool with it.
I don't think we should get too carried away with too many different threads but another could be handled if you want to.

And to all members, Remember it is always caveat emptor and you are at your own financial peril where the board is concerned. (as is usual) There are no safeguards on the board so make sure you vet out your trading partner. Happy collecting..

Since no one else seems to have the guts to say it, I will.

Shouldn't these threads be in the B/S/T section of the forum?

Default Jimmy Archer Signed M101-2

Possibly the boldest and most beautiful of all of the Steen signed M101-2's. Just a stunning autograph. The rifle armed catcher died in 1958.

Note: Leon is not allowing the $100 experiment--for now. He probably wants to see if everyone plays nice here, first. It seems to be going well, so far, and check the traffic numbers....

And here tomorrow, maybe, as thread launcher, I will "rule" that anyone who has already posted one item that has not sold will now be allowed to post a second....

I hope you meant "not" instead of "now". And trust me, it has not one iota to do with board traffic. We get approx. 1.75 million views a month on average so the extra few thousand isn't going to change it much. It's more to do with what I see as problems arising. We can talk about it after these 2 are done.

UPDATE: After three days, as OP, I am now allowing you to post a second card even if the first did not yet sell. But two will be maximum. Choose well (that is, fair or even bargain price on card).
