Very nice video, David. Lots of great information. Next time, however, you should pick the item up with your hand and bring it closer to the camera. Move it around and show the viewers how the back looks like (instead of just leaving it on the ground the whole time).
I have one question for you: let's say I were to find the Hogan figure with the Mil Mascaras card showing on the top and I decided to open it - are you saying that I might not find the Hogan inside?

Thanks for checking it out. I was just doing my best to avoid saying um. I did a few times but not nearly as many as some of my other videos. Yes that is exactly what I am saying. There have been no confirmed findings of the Hogan card from any blister packs unless it is the top card. Harley Race is said to be a short print too with no examples coming from underneath in the pack. |

Thanks for your quick response.
Here is what doesn't make sense to me: if Hogan was having some kind of financial issue with the company using his image, then why would they pull his card but continue manufacturing his figure?

I really am just guessing. All three of his cards from 81 and 82 from Japan are short printed for some reason. Maybe it was on purpose to get Japanese kids to buy more. Maybe he didn't agree to the image being used. Maybe it was a mistake. http://www.wrestlingtradingcards.com...1981_popy.html It is my understanding that the cards were made by a different manufacture so it would appear there are two licensing agreements involved. When I worked with Stan Hansen two years ago he has lots of cards from Japan he didn't even know were made and didn't authorize his image being used. He gets super pissed about it and won't sign them. Like I said in the video his Cosmos card is much harder to find and has only 5 copies graded by PSA and the Flair has 14. For some reason there just aren't as many. Last edited by Dpeck100; 04-11-2019 at 11:52 AM. |

A small quantity of the Cosmo sealed bagged sets surfaced a few years ago. None of the sets had the Hogan card (was the only card from the sets missing). Maybe there was a second printing, or the sets were opened and resealed. Both explainations seem unlikely, but not sure of other possibilities. Maybe Hogan was a promo card that wasn't released in the vending bags, but I doubt that also. It remains a mystery. The only other thing I can think off is that maybe kids had a tendancy to pack away the Hogan card (removed from the seconary market), or that it got handled more and therefore more of the card destroyed. Those explainations don't expain the Hogan not being in the bags.
