Default FS- Nap Lajoie, Mel Ott, Fred Clarke, Ed Walsh Autographed B&W Hall of Fame Plaques

Originates directly from the personal collection of a former Los Angeles Times sportswriter who began collecting autographs in the 1950's.

NAPOLEON "LARRY" LAJOIE Black and white "Albertype" plaque signed boldly in ball point on the bottom portion of the front and dated 6/21/54. Exceptional condition , only very slight hint of shading on four corners from mounting hinges. In person almost impossible to see. The toning is exaggerated in the scan. Signed Black and white plaques have become increasing rare to find especially in this condition. Considered Baseball's first superstar of the 20th century. Lajoie won Baseball's Triple crown in 1901 and led the league in batting five times. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937 and died in 1959.
