Throwing money at something you know absolutely nothing about is not an investment, it's a gamble. What happened with the Aaron, did you encounter any issues with the return?

If authentic you paid slightly above retail, but the pendants with the Ruth look more modern than what I have seen before.

I also got these too. What would you put the value of all 10 pins at?

Hi-
I am not an expert on pins, but some of them are fairly decent if authentic. I would post them on the Memorabilia side and Al or one of the other pin collectors should be able to help you with additional information.

If you're that unfamiliar with the gambles you're taking, it might not be a bad idea to post and ask for assistance before making a purchase decision. Although I guess since you were able to return the Aaron you've lucked out so far.

I took a gamble on pins, knowing absolutely nothing about them. Turns out they were replicas. Thankfully what I thought was a fantastic deal turned out to be a mild overpay. It could have been way worse. Won't make that mistake again. That being said, I do love them.

Pins can be trickier than cards. If you don't have experience you should ask a trusted person before gambling on them, imo......

One thing to look for is clarity and focus. Many, if not most fakes, look much worse than real ones when compared side by side.

ps...the top Ruth pin is a poor fake...due to what I mentioned, imo...though the back does look rusted that front doesn't look good?

Looking everywhere for this book. Does anyone have it? If so I'm interested in buying it. Thanks

Default Not a pin expert

But i have my doubts about every single one. They all seem not quite right to me. Again not a pin guy but i have seen many over the years. They just look a little frankeinstine like to me. I would have surely passed on the lot.
