Default Please Post Your T206 With Factory (or sheet?) Number Stamps

In most of the old threads the images no longer show up, so I was hoping to see some of our T206 with sheet number stamps on them somewhere.

The only example I could find in my image collection was this one:

It's sure looking that way, Pete!

Jim, that card isn't mine unfortunately and I'm not sure who's on the front.

Thanks for posting everyone, neat stuff. Waiting and hoping to see a full one!

Default t206 sheet #ers

HEY GUYS!!!!!

TRAE (great thread!),PETE, JIM, and everyone else

u know i love these!!!apparently there are fact 25's and 30's only on the sweet caps!!!i havent seen any on any other backs....most appear on the very bottom and i have never seen a "full" 25 or 30...i own 3 and one with an apparent 30 sheet on the side...i was seeking these out for years but only have come across a handful.......my pics suk...but i'll try to post them...jantz prob has one or 2....these are similiar to the "crop" marks found randomly on all the backs, but like i said, they only appear on sweet caps, not on other backs ...i have actively searched these out... and are super super tuff to find.....start searching those sweet caps!!

my appologies for pics since i dont have my cards with me, i only have pics..

That is it Pete, a large factory number-I have seen portions of 25 and 30 on Sweet Caps only. I have seen very few of these and when you do see them they are usually the 30 portion. I found mine at a local mall weekend show.

It makes since from a printers perspective to have a large differentiating mark in the border on the SC 25 and SC 30 sheets. Without it they would have to rely on the small factory numbers printed on each cards back when selecting sheets to go to each specific factory.

All of the examples shown so far are from the Sweet Caporal 350 Series - I wonder if there are any known specimens from the SC 150 or 350-460 series as well?

Here is one that I own. There was one on Ebay last month of the same player that I have scanned (Rhoades-arm extended).

Nice, Jantz! Those two are strange in that, unless they're upside down and that's a zero, they don't look like partial 3's.

Peter

I'm positive that they are not the same card. I own the first card and have had it in my collection for a few years now. The second image that I posted was a card recently on Ebay that I was outbid on.

One of the scans that Mrvster posted is also a Rhoades (arm extended) SC. I believe its the scan with the number on the side.

Notice that the back centering is off on all of the Rhoades examples.

Interesting in many ways. You actually have some pieces of the puzzle of an uncut sheet that can be assigned a specific location (edge) in the array based upon the stamps and it even looks like a corner piece can be identified.

Good stuff here. This has been brought up in the past but never got much follow up. I own on an Overall Portrait. Are these going to be the next T205 Matty, known in the hobby for years but not much interest but brought up at the right time and the right interested parties seeing it the prices will go through the roof.

Any possibility these were all most on limited sheets withonly a few different players?
