I was watching this auction because I'm looking for some obscure info on 1911 baseball. Well, old Roy was watching it too...here's how it all starts:

No real detetive work here. We've all known Huff actively buys these and then cuts them up. At $26, this should prove to be a gold mine for him and another book is destroyed in the name of greed instead of remaining in tact to be enjoyed and used the way it was originally intended.

I've just reached Upper Lower Class. I am now officially a babe magnet for poor chicks.

The destruction of antique, historical baseball memorabilia is sacrilege and vandalism. I hope Donruss, Upper Deck, Fleer, etc. are listening.

There are probably a few people on the board who are not aware of Roy's buying handle, and who might want to add it to their blocked bidder list - it will at least keep him from buying our publications and cutting them up.

Darren, fair point. Huff is bad; those companies are much worse when it comes to the destruction of historical items.
