Default D304's last night

Posted By: Dave F

Was anybody else surprised at what these went for last night? I was thinking they would go much higher since they aren't really seen that often. I kicked myself as I was planning on sniping a couple at the end but had computer issues....figures.

Could it just be because of Mastro or are these cards falling off a bit?

I thought the Baker was right in line with market. I picked up an SGC 10 (in trade) at the National and had it valued (in my mind for trade purposes) at around $500. So the PSA was about right.

As for the Young I had the contest winner (I think) at $2,399.99 but edited it at the last minute. (But then again I don't need a third Nebinger )

The winner was something around $1.10 off the ending price.

Change your socks, drink water, and drive on.

they went for slightly less than i thought they would...but not significantly less. i thought the baker and marquard went for good prices....the others, maybe except the meyers 1 and herzog 3 (which were lower than i expected), went for about where i thought they would. i thought about bidding myself...but i just recently swore off the d304 set.

These cards have come a long way the last few years, so it's hard for me to imagine the price falling off, but some of them were a little bit low compared to other recent sales.

I thought the marquard was a pretty strong price.

The crawford that ended today was also a good, strong price.

Rob

yea robert, i remember a few years back passing on a young 4 when it was $1400...$1800...$2400...now i sound like a "dinosaur". you can't beat the colors on these cards though, straight out of the museum when they're nice and clean.
