I'd take that card any day. Congrats on the pickup! My philosophy is to always buy the card, not the holder, and you got a great card.

Thanks, that's always been my philosophy as well. I've always collected low to mid grade cards anyway so the number on the label doesn't really matter too much to me. If I can get a PSA 2 with the eye appeal of a nice PSA 4 without having to pay the PSA 4 price, I'll take those kind of deals all day long.

Default Wow!

How is that a 2? I collect low grade stuff as well. But, man, that is a beauty. I can only hope one day to add such a stellar card to my collection!

I was wondering the same thing when I saw the scans and I was honestly expecting there to be some kind of unexpected flaw when I got it in hand. I was pleasantly surprised when I couldn't find anything. If someone had covered up the label and asked me to guess the grade I probably would have said a PSA 3.5 or maybe a PSA 3 to be on the safe side, but I've seen worse looking cards in PSA 4 holders.

Nice 52 Mantle...i collect mantle and hoping some day i can afford a low grade/auth card.
As far as looks....looks awesome just the corners might be light, which is ok in my book.
If theres anything you need or find, let me know. I ran across a bunch of folks that take their auctions off Ebay and use paypal to cut cost.
Sometimes its a waiting game, its definetly worth to get a nicely centered card. than hopping on the 1st one that you see.
