Default Reno/Heritage/Could sell for 10k

Saw this today and went hmmmm: https://www.sharonherald.com/news/un...a2fcc6bfb.html

Again. Nevada. "Could sell for $10,000" at online auction. With...wait for it...Heritage! Haven't looked into it personally it might be totally legit. At first glance seems a lot like Mr. 1921 Shotwell Babe Ruth dude in my opinion.

Unlike the Shotwell clown's articles Heritage is actually quoted in this article, so probably legit. Funny how that works. Just looked, it's actually in their current auction at about 4k.

Actually sounds a lot more likely to me. Classic video game collecting is a real thing. Back in Feb, one of the execs at Heritage was part of a group that bought an original sealed Super Mario Bros for over $100k.

Good to know! Part of why I love this place. I'm sort of an old school gamer - had no idea this stuff was worth anything. Just saw that the headlines were similar and included Heritage who have been honestly quite rude in terms of getting back to my family for collections unrelated to baseball.

Not that anyone asked, but that was one of my favorite games at the time.

I don't see the similarity to an obviously fake card. It looks like they got the unopened game graded. Seems legit to me. These are very rare as no one thought to save Nintendo games in their original packaging. We bought them to play them.

I was just as surprised as you though when I realized how strong the demand is for these games is. Especially the rare ones.
