I see now another thread was started with this ticket stub.

But weird thing was that was started earlier in the day and the stub just sold now.

So hopefully the OP of that thread will reply. Just seems odd.

Also, that aside who is this 5 Star Grading anyone hear of them before?

I know that now, but there is no mention of that in the listing. So its odd the price would be 199 for a nothing game at first glance. Seems like a ticket that should have been listed for 30-50 bucks if the seller had no idea of the Trouppe connection.

I talked the seller down to $34 dollars. I pointed to the fact that common 1952 tickets sold within that range. I didn't care who had graded the ticket only that it was from Quincy Trouppe's first hit game.

Does the "Trouppe connection" really change the price? It's a pretty esoteric reason for a premium price.

Good work! Makes more sense now. The 199 really threw me, and that it didn't say sold until minutes ago and you opened that thread hours ago. Were you still in negotiations with the seller or is Ebay on a delay?

Negotiating at the time but I wanted to share the history with others on here.

Can't speak for this item but I have noticed eBay is pretty hit and miss for when it lists sold items. I have seen them show up almost instantly after the sale and sometimes a day later.

must've been typing while you posted. $34 makes a LOT more sense.
