Now that Eric got his. . . I am also looking for VCBC #7. I recently purchased the complete run but it was missing #7. If anyone has one, I would appreciate it.

I do have issue #7 in my collection. I was going to try and sell it with all the others but I would be willing to sell it alone. I would then try to sell the others on e-bay since I am guessing most everyone here has those already. You can e-mail me an offer (money or card accepted).

Just out of curiousity, what does #7 go for these days? I stashed about 10 away. I wrote an article in almost all the early issues and got a free box of each for my trouble.

There was one on Ebay last year. Think I bid around $13 and lost. It probably sold in the $15-20 range including shipping.

For some reason it quickly went out of stock and anyone who is filling in back issues is unable to get it. The cover pictures a Jackie Robinson game on a white background.

I believe that the book was pulled from production due to an article on professional grading that didn't set well with some financial supporters of the mag. The unshipped issues were destroyed, thus creating the limited availability, if my memory serves correctly.

Shawn- I never heard that story before and I was the assistant editor. But maybe you are right. Since a few people emailed me about the #7's I stashed away let me organize what I have. I can probably offer some partial runs and individual copies of #7, but I just don't remember what's there. I sold a bunch years ago. I'll go through them the next couple of days and add a post with prices.
