Default Need help and opinions on autographed football

My brother recently picked up this USC team signed football with what appears to be players spanning the 1936-39 time period. What do you think this football might be worth and what would be the best way to go about selling it? Should it be sent in for some kind of authentication? There are more than 50 signatures on the ball are there any specific signatures that we should be looking for on this ball that are exceptional?

Thanks!

Signatures identified so far are -
carl benson
dick berryman
floyd phillips
frank mattson?
phil duboski
alex atanasoff
bill fisk
phil loper
bob berryman
bill bundy
coach jones
sol (salvador ) mean
bob delauer 1940

james slatter
bob hoffman
ben sohn
bob robertson
john thomassin

Autographed footballs are a tough thing to value because the signatures do not show up as well as Baseballs and as such they are not as desirable. Howard Jones is a tough signature relatively speaking because he died young but he did sign quite a bit during his years. It is impossible to tell from the scans what the signatures look like in person etc. I would value it based on what I see in the $300-$500 range, but that is just my opinion without actually seeing the item in person. It is a nice item and a pretty cool find.

Howard Jones (Coach Jones) is ranked as an all time great college football coach. He was an inagural year inductee into the College Hall of Fame, and coached five National Champions at USC and Yale. As a player he played on three National Champs at Yale. He died in 1941, so his sig is most probably tough.
