Default Collection of Album pages A&G,Goodwin. Kimbell..

I got this collection of Album pages in the mail today. I have always been a fan and when I began collecting in the early 1970's these types of Albums were at the top of the Baseball card collecting foodchain. I am not sure If I will keep and display all of it but for now had a great afternoon getting introduced to my new pages. The Goodwin champions page with the ad in the reverse is about the best piece of card related eye candy I have ever owned.

Those are great, Jonathan. The albums are still not too pricey and I think they are some of the best buys in the collecting universe. I have each of the main ones (N28, N29, N162, Round Album), and have added multiple ones when i can And they sell for low prices. They are scarce but not rare. I think you have most of one of the albums there?

Back in the days when a Goudey Ruth could be bought for $40-$50 Albums sold for $500 -$1000. Compated to the number of cards from these sets they are a tiny percentage. One of the reasons I had not persued them is the fact that they are difficult to display. These will display very well.
There are all 10 N28 Baseball Subjects and all six N29 Baseball Subjects. As well as 4 N162. There are also most of the Kimbell pages but no baseball.
I think you did very well to collect these albums which even today sell for a fraction of what single cards in top condition from these sets sell for. They are almost 150 years old and although not for everyone. They are some of the most beautiful items in the ACC.

Those things are awesome! Being in the south now, I haven’t seen those in years and years. Would love to add one of those to the wall one day.

Enjoy,
Bob
