FS: 1955 Bowman Umpire Card Gift Letter - Art Flynn Associates

I have a neat piece of baseball history - a signed Art Flynn letter (from Art Flynn Associates) offering umpire Hal Dixon a gift for agreeing to be pictured in the 1955 Bowman Baseball series which featured many umpires. Flynn mentions that William Harridge and Warren Giles have "cleared" this offer. The letter mentions an "attached agreement" (which I do not have) which was likely the contract for Dixon to appear as card #309 in the set. The letter offers Dixon a "mahogany bridge set" or "swivel television chair" in Dixon's choice of colors - samples of the material and fabric are attached.

The letter was taken from a scrapbook and the back includes a Western Union telegram from Will Harridge asking Hal Dixon to have him and Augie Donatelli serve as pallbearers at Bill McGowan's funeral.

All around, a very unique and rare piece of baseball memorabilia from the Hal Dixon personal collection. Asking $125 DLVD.
