Default Playboy article on collecting -- 1971

In going through the September, 1971, issue of Playboy, looking for football phiotos in their annual college Pigskin Preview, I came across -- uh, maybe I should say, I found, an interesting article about collecting/investing. While baseball cards were mentioned -- exactly that, the two words "baseball cards" -- I found the lengthy article interesting and was struck by how accurate the advice remains nearly 30 years later.

Bob,

Thanks for making it easier to find by posting the article, I could never seem to find it

I tried to tell my wife I "only get it for the articles", but she doesn't buy it.

Frank

oh, that was an interesting article.

Thanks Ron, but I'm going to stick to the cards

I wonder how dinosaur dung collectors display their pieces? Maybe in a glass case? Imagine explaining to the wife that this is not only fun, but also a great investment

I won't even go into the grading...........
