Suicide by hanging. So sad. His music brought a lot of joy to people. RIP. Depression and addiction are a bitch an a half. Way too young.

He had a hell of a voice.I was shocked to hear he committed suicide.

Absolutely...a wife and 2 beautiful kids...such a phenomenal musician...u dont know what you got...til its gone!

Temple of the Dog was a go to album back in high school and college. Saw Soundgarden way back when in 1992. Apparently the last song he played last night in Detroit was In My Time of Dying by Led Zepplin.
Sad he was so talented yet so troubled. Say Hello To Heaven.

This is very sad indeed. I became a fan of this band after hearing "Black Hole Sun" and went out and bought Superunknown - still own it today!
