Default My Introduction to Vintage

Hello everyone, I just recently joind the forums. My name is Alexander and im a resident outside of Boston currently a Junior in High School. This is the introduction page, so I thought it was fitting to make my first thread here. I used to collect modern cards since 2004, when in my first pack of cards I pulled an autograph of the #1 Draft Pick Rookie, Andrew Bogut. The industry has since evolved, and personally I believe Panini has ruined modern cards. I took time off of collecting, but I enjoyed it so much I tried to find something that I could collect.
I discovered Vintage at a local show. I always have been a fan of Bill Russell, and was able to pick up his rookie card for a hefty price I might say at the show. The card is still one of my favorites today, see below.
Since then I have acquired some vintage baseball, hockey, and football, but basketball is always the joy for me. I have since acquired some nice vintage basketball in my opinion, and am currently working on a couple projects. The first being the 1970-71 Topps set, currently about 80% down. The other projects being the 1961-62 Fleer set and a rookie of all the 50 Greatest NBA Players voted in 1996. The Fleer set is coming along slowly. The Rookie PC I currently have close to 30%. I am still learning more about vintage and hope to get many deals and learn some new stuff on here. I will keep my posts short for now, do not want anyone to be bored to death. Just want to share of my experiences. Here are some of the cards I have been able to get scans of recently:

Thanks for reading, Alexander.

Hi Alexander. Nice 69 Hondo card. I love the 70-71 BB set. Good luck finishing it up.
