Default Bescher

I assume the individual on the Piedmont back is Bescher, Cincinnati from the reverse player name on the bottom of the card under the factory stamp.

Not sure of the other...

The transfer on the back appears to be T206 Bescher.
Not sure about the one on the front yet.

Lol mordecaibrown - identical response time

I think the front transfer is Chase Blue or Pink Portrait. (leaning towards pink since it's in red)

Default Schlei portrait... right?

I'd recognize that shoulder anywhere... Schlei portrait, correct?

Default Chief Meyers

Ill take a guess that the other picture is Chief Meyers Portrait - looks like the right jaw line and nose/mouth.

Thats my other guess besides Bescher.

And yes Trae - great minds and timing on that earlier one.

I did an overlay of Chase Pink in Photoshop and it fit A+ for the front transfer. I'm pretty confident that's who it is.

The front overlay looks kind of like Jennings portrait.

Erick is right that the actual card is Wiltse. I hadn't thought that the red image might be someone else. The ghost looks like Wiltse to me, but my eyes aren't great.

Here's Wiltse, consulting his ghostly advisor:

Oh... yep... Wiltse is a perfect fit in Photoshop. The front is the same card. Good call.

Thanks Trae!

These two were among about 500 raw T206's and T205's I just received - no other anomalies, but as many oddball T206's as I've owned, this Wiltse might be my favorite.

Hey, look what I found. It's kind of difficult to see, but this is a Sweet Cap wet sheet on the front of a Piedmont-backed card - I've never seen this before.

usually a card with a dull wet sheet like that is really 2 cards that was stored tightly for many years together so the ink transferred that way, especially if it was humid.

I had thousands of Oakland Invader bumperstickers (with a radio ad on back) all rubber banded together for 25+ years and now 99.9% are basically ruined because of this...

That makes sense, but they were stored crooked

As soon as I saw the Wiltse in the first post, it reminded me of another T206.

Wilson (not mine)

Nice cards by the way!

I used to be a middleman for an eccentric collector who had three (possibly more) 'Ty Cobb' backed Ty Cobbs. Another showed up and he said "get if for me". I replied, "Why?, you've got three." He responded, "That card belongs in my collection - it should not belong to anyone but me." His attitude kind of creeped me out at the time, but...

...I need that Wilson - it belongs with my Wiltse.

Scott - The Wilson was listed on Ebay and ended without a sale. It was then relisted and ended after a day or two by the seller with no bids.

My one and only - that I know of. I prefer the off set (double image) on the front vs. stuff on the backs.

I have an idea - send all your cards to me and I'll scan them for you...and send them back at some point.

Hey Scott

I remember you having 2 upside down backs and they did really well on ebay but I passed on them because I picked this one up for 30 bucks in a group of Sweet Caps

Nice card - that's the way to do it!

Yes, the Huggins was one of them. I picked up those two in a huge lot of ungraded cards from Mastro - I paid way too much for the lot, but just wanted a bunch of cards to sort through, so it satisfied my craving. Those two cards helped me to break even on the lot - there weren't any keepers in it other than those two.

I found ALL the scans of my old T206 collection, and have 'culled' the tough backs and 'printers scrap'. I'm thinking of doing a small website with nothing but freak cards like this, grouping them by type, and inviting you all to send scans for inclusion.

Those upside down backs are cool. I've had a few miscuts but nothing upside down. Johnny got this one from me...

But I still have these two modest miscuts:
