It has been awhile since I have kept up with these cards. What is the current market on them? Is the book accurate, high or low?

Jim, I haven't been following book of late but would guess that values stated are unrealistically low. There have been several ebay auctions in the last couple of months. Some of the commons went for over a grand.

Hey Zinn, what grades were the commons in? I guess it would be better to grade them than sell raw.

Jim, the raw commons were VG-EX IMHO. Ebay seller wagonland has been listing one or two a month for awhile. I haven't followed them very close, but I think about 1k has been the average.

Speaking of wagonland, I would love to get the full story about their "find".

I read somewhere (maybe someone posted it on this board) that eBay seller wagonland is selling these and other cards (Old Judges and Goudeys as far as baseball and various other companies as far as tobacco cards go) for relatives of a deceased family member who was a pack rat. This person kept everything and had many storage buildings (warehouses?) as far as what I can remember. The cards have been wrapped up and stored away since the 1930's.

I think someone tried to get the seller to end auctions early or to sell the whole collection but they refused to do either. I also think someone contacted the seller and tried to get a list of all the baseball cards. I don't know if they were successful.
