Default Question regarding photographer (s) for theT5 Pinkerton Cabinets

Posted By: Patrick McMenemy

Is the famed Cleveland-based photographer, Van Oeyen, the only photographer whose pictures were used on the T5 Pinkerton Cabinets?

I know that some of his photos were used in the T5 Pinkerton issue, because he marked them with an embossed stamp, "COPYRIGHT 1910 VAN OEYEN CLEVELAND OHIO."

Being that the Pinkerton Tobacco Company was based in Cleveland, it makes perfect sense then that they would enlist a noted local photogragher, like Van Oeyen, for the project.

Anyone know of any other photographers that may have been used for the Pinkerton T5 Cabinets?

Thanks, Patrick

First of all, that me correct that the Pinkerton Tobacco Company are actually based out of Toledo not Cleveland.

Talking on the chat the other night, someone remembered seeing a list of photograhers for the issue, but they couldn't remember where that had seen this information.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks again, Patrick
