Default Politician cards?

Almost afraid to ask. . . .
Has there ever been a time where someone running for President decided to issue cards puffing himself us and crapping all over the competition with unflattering photos, distorted voting records, etc.
Seems like it could be a good gimmick at rallies.
Sort of has The Donald written all over it.

I'm not sure about cards attacking other candidates, but in 1888 Duke issued a set of "Presidential Possibilities" cards (N124; I have #4, Campbell):

And in 1884, Belding Spool Silk put out a trade card with the Predidential and Vice-Presidential candidates:
