Default Card HOF

Posted By: jay behrens

I bet you guys all thought I had abandoned the card HOF. Fear not. I spent today fixing all the problems in the Card HOF area and getting it updated

For those of you new to the site, about a year or so ago we started an informal Vintage Baseball Card Hall of Fame. We nominate and vote on what we, the collectors, think are the greatest cards of all-time. Not neccessarily themost valuable, but what think are the most important and/or best looking vintage cards.

Here is the link to the site:

http://webpages.charter.net/sabrjay/cardhof.html

We'll start another round of nominations and voting after everyone gets settled from the holiday maddness.

Jay

Julie, I love those old hockey cards, but this strictly a baseball card HOF.

I still own that Oakes card. I can't believe I turned downed $500 for the card, but I learned my lesson the first time I sold my collection. Some cards are worth more than money.

In the wee hours of the morning, Leon wrote that I had written "N238-2" (S.F. Hess Ewing), instead of "N338-2" S.F. Hess Ewing. Thank you, Leon! (Of course, he also wrote that I'd posted it in the B/S/T column, which didn't even exist yet, and which I'm not allowed to start because I did it twice--being in California, where it's 9 when it's 12 in the east).

I detect a pattern: Scott F thought the things I put in VCBC under "wante" were "For sale," and Leon thought the things I posted for "HOF card" were "wants"
No, I don't detect a pattern after all...
Sorry about the football and hockey items; I didn't know it was only for baseball cards.
