I can't choose between Bauer and Silvera-both are great. Many nice paintings in the Yankees team set.

They are all beautiful!! Takes me back to small kid time, baggy pinstripes and pre-70's renovation Yankee Stadium. Saw a lot of these guys play and value the memories. Mantle, Berra, Jensen (with BoSox), Woodling (with Cleveland). Used to sit in Bauer's hip pocket in right field stands. Lovin' it. Gotta pick a card? How about Collins stretching off of first? A quintessential pose.

I like the '50 Bowmans and '53 Topps a lot but there seems to be a preponderance of headshots in those sets. How about '55 or '56 Topps for the next go-round? I am partial to the '55s for the color and inclusion of the team logos but I like the real photo action shots on the '56's, too.

I've really enjoyed your '52 Bowman team posts, as I'm (slowly) putting together that set myself. Thanks for the effort.

As far as what I'd like to see next, how about Opening Day lineups from '55 or '56?

I prefer to look at cards when they're organized by team. Years ago, I was struck by how well the 1952 Bowmans display, particularly when the cards are organized by team. One reason the look so good, I believe, is that the images are so consistent. It's not like most sets, here you have a mix of head shots and far-away action poses. in the '52 set, they're all mid-range shots (just about every single image, no less!). The '50, '51 and '53 Bowman sets are all favorites of mine (all of which had truly great artwork or photography), but none, in my opinion, display quite as well as the '52s ...
