Hey guys. I'm glad to be a part of the forum! I'm here mostly as an enthusiast who is looking to get an education. I've read quite a few posts, and am impressed by the vast amount of knowledge of the members. The T206 set in particular is my primary interest. I have a passion for baseball and history, so the marriage of both in the pre-war cards suits me perfectly. The T206 set, with all of it's history and lore, back combinations, print groups, T213 debate, Ty Cobb backs, amazing attic discoveries, graded card controversies, etc., is very intriguing, and make collecting it so much more immersive than most other sets.

A little bit about me ... I've been a card collector since about 1987, when I was 10, (yeah, I'm 40), and while the bulk of my collection is more modern cards, revolving around Yankees and prospecting, I've always loved the old tobacco cards. I picked up my first one when I was 11 at a card show, Ossee Schreck, which I still have, for $5. Besides baseball cards and baseball itself, I'm also an avid gamer (though only average in skill), love to golf, enjoy history, cars, collecting, being a dad, and generally seem to have more interests than time in the day.

Anyway, glad to be aboard, hope not to ask too many stupid questions, and promise to search the boards before asking any of the aforementioned questions.
