Default Need some help concerning Ebay purchase damage

I recently bought a card on Ebay. I received the card, but the holder had a small crack in it. Which happened in shipping, but the card was insured. But if I claim insurance I will lose the card (which I want to keep) but I do not want it loose. The seller did not pack it well, which I assumed didn't help things. How should I go about this? Thanks

Personally if the card wasn't damaged and you like the card, keep it. Accidents happen and card can always be reholdered.

Default insurance

If you plan to file an insurance claim with the Post Office make sure you keep all of the packaging. You will need to take it to your local Post Office. Chances are that if it was not packaged properly the Post Office insurance will not cover it and the seller will have to make it right with you.

Good luck,
Rick

True, but if I don't do anything it will hurt the resale value somewhat if I decide to sell it. And does Ebay cover you for that? I know the buyer has all of the rights, but haven't heard of this situation before. Thanks

Do you think that he card can be re-graded? If so then I would just let the buyer know and ask for a partial refund. Ultimately it seems like if you want to keep the card then you should keep it.
