There are lots of collectors who collect E95. They are great images and the set isn't too hard to complete. Not a lot of exciting rarities or mysteries though. Erik V. wrote a book on Philadelphia Caramel, with regards to the cards too. It can probably still be attained but not sure where. Good luck in the quest. Here is my type au-natural.

http://www.sgccardregistry.com/set.a...0&userset=4258

I finished my E95 recently.
I like lower grade cards , these are pretty frail and tend to be found in lower grades.
I doubt I will upgrade any of these unless a sweet deal tempts me.
I do have the Wagner PSA1 and Cobb yet to be submitted so if you click my registry link above you won't see those stars (yet)

It is one of my favorite sets, the Plank is an absolutely amazing image, as well as Chief Bender!

As mentioned, not a terribly difficult set as far as variations or availability...go get 'em Nelson!!

Yep the plank is amazing...and probably one of the most beautifull plank cards..

I look at the e95 and the t206 and if you dont think about value or rarity the look of the e95 and the background color of the e95 is more beautifull than the t206

Nelson,

As mentioned in an earlier post, I researched this set, and the
Philadelphia Caramel Company and published my findings a few
Years back.

In terms of aesthetics and star power, the E95 set has these and
more. While my research is a bit lengthy for this post, I will say
that a lot of consideration was made by the Philadelphia Caramel
Company in regards to who was included in this set. My research
provides the "why" for many of the players were chosen to be included.

If your interested in purchasing a copy, let me know. There was only
one print run of my book. I have about a dozen copies left.

Best of luck with your E95 collecting.

I'm just about finished with my mid-grade E95 set (still need a nice Wagner-anyone have one?) and I'm hoping someone can help me locate a copy of EricV's book. It would be a great companion to my set, which is the centerpiece of my collection. I tried contacting him via PM with no luck. If anyone can help me get a hold of him, or has an extra copy themselves I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Luke,

Sorry, I didn't get you PM. You can contact me at star6240@att.net.

There was only one print run of 100 books produced. I have the last ten
copies available. If anyone is interested, they're available for 12.99 + 2.51
s/h, for a total of $14.50. My PayPal account is star6240@att.net.

The book is 111 pages in length with several black and white photos.

Please advise if you'd like the book signed or inscribed.

ErikV

Neat caramel set which has attractive color and some nice HOFers with unique poses. No real rarities in the set and it was also a pretty "clean" issue - meaning, very few printing flubs or other oddities/variations came out of it. This is the only real printing goof I've ever seen - a neon orange Cicotte. I won this a couple years ago in REA.....This card should be fire-engine red....

Cicotte should look like this. Mine (above) is missing the red color pass that the card should have received during it's original print run.....

Default Plank vs. Plank

I like to T207 - though I've never seen the E95. Could you post an image?

Default E95 Wagner on Ebay

Luke - I saw an SGC Wagner on Ebay, but the seller is one whose pricing is noticeably out of line...I passed on it and got a PSA-4 for $30 less.

Your Wagner is a pretty nice card. I passed on it, and am kind of regretting it. I'm sure I'll find the right one in due time though. Congrats on getting it. Definitely a cornerstone for any collection.

...which I purchased several years ago for about $400 and sold it last year for around $900 - Good luck

I did send an 'pricing opinion' to that other seller about two weeks ago, and, is spite of never hearing back, was actually considering purchasing it, before double-checking at the last minute and seeing the PSA-4. Call me lucky but careful.
